VisualWorks Web Toolkit Training

Course Description

This course gives experienced object-oriented developers a solid working knowledge of JSP, scripting and servlets. After examining current industry-standard web development architectures, participants will build, execute and test web applications. Although the course exercises use Cincom's VisualWork’s Web Toolkit, the techniques and experiences acquired in this course will be useful in any web development environment.

  • Course participants will have understandings of various industry techniques including
    • The J2EE model
    • The ASP Model
  • Course participants will be able to build web applications using the VisualWorks Web Toolkit
  • Course participants will gain knowledge on web application development which can be transferred to other platforms.
  • Course participants will have a good understanding of general Servlet model
  • Course participants will have a good understanding of general JSP model
  • Experienced Object-Oriented developers will quickly be able to delve into Web Application development
